1. Data Protection & Local Processing
Unlike traditional cloud-based audio editors, Audio Forge Pro operates entirely within your web browser using the native Web Audio API. When you upload an audio file to our tool, it never leaves your device.
The audio processing, silence removal, and optimization algorithms execute locally using your device's CPU and memory. We have zero visibility into your audio content, ensuring maximum security for sensitive recordings, legal depositions, and private podcasts.
2. No Server Storage Policy
We do not maintain servers for file storage. There are no databases containing your audio files, transcripts, or personal usage metadata. Because your files are never transmitted across the internet to our infrastructure, there is zero risk of data breaches or unauthorized access to your intellectual property.
3. 24-Hour Smart Cleanup Policy (IndexedDB)
To provide you with a seamless experience, we use your browser's local IndexedDB to cache your current session. This allows you to refresh the page or restart your PC without losing your processing progress.
Strict 24-Hour Expiration: Our Smart Cleanup script automatically wipes any cached audio files and session data from your device's browser exactly 24 hours after they are generated. You may also manually clear this cache at any time using the "Clear Device Cache" button located in the footer.
4. Cookies, Analytics & Google AdSense
To keep Audio Forge Pro 100% free for the global creator community, we sustain our operations through non-intrusive advertising provided by Google AdSense (after approval).
We work with third-party vendors, including Google, who may use cookies and similar technologies to serve advertisements, measure ad performance, and deliver analytics on our site. These vendors operate under their own privacy policies and may collect information about your visits to this and other websites.
We use Google Analytics (G-DR99BBND5Q) to understand aggregate site usage. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve relevant ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
We implement Google Consent Mode v2. Advertising and analytics cookies are only activated after you click "Accept All" on our cookie banner. If you choose "Essential Only," non-essential cookies remain disabled.
5. Blog Comments (Firebase)
Our blog allows optional comments powered by Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. If you choose to sign in (e.g., via Google), Firebase may collect your display name, profile photo URL, and a unique user ID. Comment text is stored in Firestore and associated with your chosen display name. We do not sell comment data. You can delete your comments by contacting us at audioforgepro.help@gmail.com.
6. Contact Form (Formspree)
When you submit our contact form, your name, email address, and message are transmitted to Formspree (formspree.io) for delivery to our team. Formspree processes this data solely to relay your message. See Formspree's privacy policy for details.
7. Children's Privacy
Audio Forge Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
