1. Data Protection & Local Processing
Unlike traditional cloud-based audio editors, Audio Forge Pro operates entirely within your web browser. When you upload an audio file to our tool, it never leaves your device.
The audio processing, silence removal, and optimization algorithms execute locally using your device's CPU and memory, so the site does not receive the audio content itself. Site-usage data may still be processed by analytics or advertising providers after consent; see the sections below for those details.
2. No Server Storage Policy
We do not maintain servers for file storage, and audio processing happens in your browser rather than on our infrastructure. This reduces the exposure of your audio files to our systems, but no online service or personal device can be described as completely risk-free; keep your browser and device secure.
3. 24-Hour Smart Cleanup Policy (IndexedDB)
To provide you with a seamless experience, we use your browser's local IndexedDB to cache your current session. This allows you to refresh the page or restart your PC without losing your processing progress.
24-hour cleanup check: On app startup, our cleanup routine removes cached audio files and session data older than 24 hours from your device's browser. You may also manually clear this cache at any time using the "Clear Device Cache" button located in the footer.
4. Cookies, Analytics & Google AdSense
To keep Audio Forge Pro 100% free for the global creator community, we sustain our operations through non-intrusive advertising provided by Google AdSense (after approval).
We work with third-party vendors, including Google, who may use cookies and similar technologies to serve advertisements, measure ad performance, and deliver analytics on our site. These vendors operate under their own privacy policies and may collect information about your visits to this and other websites.
We use Google Analytics (G-DR99BBND5Q) to understand aggregate site usage. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve relevant ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
We implement Google Consent Mode v2. Advertising and analytics cookies are only activated after you click "Accept All" on our cookie banner. If you choose "Essential Only," non-essential cookies remain disabled.
5. Blog Comments (Firebase)
Our blog allows optional comments powered by Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. If you choose to sign in (e.g., via Google), Firebase may collect your display name, profile photo URL, and a unique user ID. Comment text is stored in Firestore and associated with your chosen display name. We do not sell comment data. You can delete your comments by contacting us at audioforgepro.help@gmail.com.
6. Contact Form (Formspree)
When you submit our contact form, your name, email address, and message are transmitted to Formspree (formspree.io) for delivery to our team. Formspree processes this data solely to relay your message. See Formspree's privacy policy for details.
7. Children's Privacy
Audio Forge Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
