1. Data Protection & Local Processing
Unlike traditional cloud-based audio editors, Audio Forge Pro operates entirely within your web browser. When you upload an audio file to our tool, it never leaves your device.
The audio processing, silence removal, and optimization algorithms execute locally using your device's CPU and memory, so the site does not receive the audio content itself. Site-usage data may still be processed by analytics or advertising providers after consent; see the sections below for those details.
2. No Server Storage Policy
We do not maintain servers for file storage, and audio processing happens in your browser rather than on our infrastructure. This reduces the exposure of your audio files to our systems, but no online service or personal device can be described as completely risk-free; keep your browser and device secure.
3. Local Storage and Unsaved Work
Selected files and processing results stay in browser memory and are not automatically restored after a refresh, tab closure, or device restart. Download your results before leaving the page.
Your cookie choice is stored locally. AI model files may be cached on this device to avoid repeat downloads until cleared by you or your browser. The footer's "Clear Device Cache" button removes the separation model cache and legacy session data, then reloads the page. It does not change your cookie choice. Startup cleanup also removes legacy session entries older than 24 hours.
4. Cookies, Analytics & Google AdSense
We plan to introduce advertising only after approval and the required consent setup. Advertising is not currently enabled.
Google Analytics operates under Google's privacy policy and receives site-usage information after analytics consent. AI features download model files from external hosts, which receive ordinary network information such as your IP address. Your selected audio is not sent with those downloads.
We use Google Analytics (G-DR99BBND5Q) to understand aggregate site usage. Advertising cookies remain disabled. You can also manage your Google advertising preferences through Google's Ads Settings.
Analytics loads only after you click "Accept All." "Essential Only" disables analytics. Reopen "Cookie Preferences" in the footer to change or withdraw your choice at any time. Withdrawal stops further analytics collection on this site. Advertising remains disabled regardless of this choice; its consent options will be configured separately before ads are introduced.
5. Blog Comments (Firebase)
Optional comments and reviews use Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Signing in shares your display name, profile photo and user ID with Firebase. Submitted comments and reviews may appear publicly with your display name. We do not sell this data. You can request removal by contacting contact@audioforgepro.com.
6. Contact Form (Formspree)
When you submit our contact form, your name, email address, and message are transmitted to Formspree (formspree.io) for delivery to our team. Formspree processes this data solely to relay your message. See Formspree's privacy policy for details.
7. Children's Privacy
Audio Forge Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
